Hello everybody, I am going to tell you a little bit more about myself.
I just graduated from P-E-M High School. I didn’t play any sports in High School because I am probably the most uncoordinated and nonathletic person you will ever meet.
In my free time I worked at a Nursing Home close to where I live. I took great pride in being able to brighten up somebody’s day. I no longer work there and am focusing on my college career.
I am attending RCTC in hopes of pursing a career as a Medical Assistant. It took me many months of deep thought to decide what I was going to do with my life after High School. I knew that I wanted to do something in the medical field but trying to incorporate the fact that I do not enjoy school was very challenging.
I plan to work at Olmsted Medical Center as soon as or before I graduate from RCTC. I am absolutely in love with the environment and I feel it is a perfect place for me to spend my working career. I chose the Medical Assistant occupation because I knew I wanted to work hands on with patients but was not sure I wanted to endure everything that a nurse is entitled to do.
When I am not busy I enjoy jet skiing, boating, swimming, going for walks, and shopping.
If I was able to, I would eat Taco Bell and Mac N’ Cheese everyday.
Hey Olivia! My name is Lauren. I am extremely surprised at how much we have in common. I didn’t graduate from PEM High School, but I graduated from Wabasha- Kellogg High School, which is close by and I’m sure you have heard of. I have also been working at a Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant, but I continue to work there throughout school. I absolutely love bring able to brighten up someone’s day, even if it is only because I smiled back at them. I am also going to be pursuing a degree in nursing. I have thought about becoming a Medical Assistant, but I think I was the further my education. Although I do not like the idea of a lot of schooling, my end goal is to become a doctor in family medicine. I plan to work in Rochester, and I might even end up at Olmstead Medical Center. We will see where the road takes me. Good luck on your educational journey, maybe we will cross paths in the future! (:
